Gee-Oh is a roving rainbow clown from Edmonton who turns up, notices everything, and is never seen without Fergus.

Gee-Oh is created and performed by Heather Cornick, an Edmonton theatre artist working in live entertainment since 1994. Her practice spans clown and mask training, puppetry, design, and teaching at the University of Alberta, MacEwan University, and Red Deer College. Gee-Oh performs at festivals, celebrations, and community events across Alberta.

Gee-Oh, the Rainbow Clown, is a roving character created and performed by Edmonton theatre artist Heather Cornick. Gee-Oh works in the pathways and gathering places of a festival rather than on a stage, responding to the people in front of her, and is always accompanied by Fergus. Heather has worked in live entertainment since 1994 across lighting and projection design, puppetry, props, stage management and teaching. Her clown training includes a three-week Mask and Clown intensive with Jan Henderson and Extreme Joey & Auguste with Jan Henderson and Christine Lesiak. She has taught at the University of Alberta, MacEwan University, and Red Deer College.

Gee-Oh, the Rainbow Clown, is a colourful, character-driven clown created and performed by Edmonton theatre artist Heather Cornick, whose background spans clown and mask training, puppetry, teaching, and more than three decades in live entertainment.

Gee-Oh is a roving performer. Rather than repeating a routine, Gee-Oh works in the pathways, queues and in-between spaces of an event and responds to whoever is there — which means no two encounters, and no two festivals, look the same. Fergus, a puppet, is never far behind.

Heather has worked in live entertainment since 1994. Her career spans lighting design, projection design, puppetry, props, set, stage management, production management and live-event technology. Her clown development includes a three-week Mask and Clown intensive with Jan Henderson through Fool Moon Productions at the University of Alberta, and Extreme Joey & Auguste with Jan Henderson and Christine Lesiak. She co-created and puppeteered Cat & Dog for the Play the Fool Festival Rookie Cabaret.

Her puppetry training includes the Gros Morne Puppetry Workshop through Memorial University, the Banff Puppet Theatre Intensive at the Banff Centre, and shadow puppetry with the Canadian Academy of Mask and Puppetry and the Old Trout Puppet Workshop. She has taught at the University of Alberta, MacEwan University and Red Deer College, and has led workshops for the Edmonton International Fringe, the Alberta High School Drama Festival Association, Edmonton Public Schools, Theatre Alberta and public libraries. She lives in Edmonton.
